Accessibility

Every buyer should be able to read the site, check a plant, and send us a list, whether you use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, voice control, or a phone in the sun on a job site.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we’ve done

• Every page passes automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks with axe and Lighthouse.
• Everything works from a keyboard. The panel for sending a list takes focus when it opens, closes with Escape, and returns you to where you were.
• Images have text descriptions, or are marked as decoration.
• Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Videos have controls, don’t play on their own, and have no sound.

What we’re still checking

Automated tests don’t catch everything. We’re reviewing text set over illustrations and testing with VoiceOver on iPhone.
